Tobey And Jessica

About

Hello. My name is Jessica Suarez. I am 29. I live in Brooklyn via Tucson, Arizona.

I mostly write about music. My first bit of entertainment writing was an interview with Michael Ian Black that I wrote for my self-produced zine about The State when I was 13 years old. It also included a review of the first Cake Like album, and a list of my top 8 movies. Number one was Speed.

Since then I’ve been an editor/staff writer at CMJ New Music Monthly, Pitchfork Media, and Paper Thin Walls. I am currently a staff writing at Stereogum, and I write blog posts for VH1′s Shows Blog. I’ve also written for places like Spin, NPR, Blender, Paste, Paper, Nylon, Nylon For Guys, The Fader and Bust.

My interests include superhero / fantasy films, lifehacking, nerds, Harry Potter trivia, GTD, music videos, funeral customs, etiquette rules, music software, religious cults.
