The Pitchfork review compared Funstyle to Bob Dylan’s Self Portrait, but I think the best comparison is Weezer’s Raditude. Rivers Cuomo had an early, beloved pair of albums, then a break, then albums people didn’t like, then even less liked, funnier, songs.
